Food is so boring without spice and chile and garlic... :(

However, I have spent quality time with Doug and I was not a bitch all day! (I even helped my former intern move into her flat). I will admit to searching for elf porn. I...never mind. I just had to.

I almost had a pie floater for dinner. Instead, just got the pie to go and ate it in the park. Meat pies are one of man's greatest inventions, right alongside the double-bass drum.

My priest taught me that food without garlic is a sin.

I'm already in hell, might as well compound the sin.

The recipe:

1 brown onion, chopped roughly
2 medium carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
1 turnip, peeled and roughly chopped
1 parsnip, peeled and roughly chopped
1 potato, peeled & roughly chopped
1 swede, peeled & roughly chopped
2 stalks of celery, roughly chopped
3 x vegetable stock cubes
1 tin of diced tomatoes
½ cup dried pearl barley
½ cup of red lentils
Tablespoon of seeded mustard
Generous dose of Worcester sauce
Salt & pepper
Generous dose of generic dried Italian herbs mix

Chuck it all in the pot without heat. Add two full tins of water (using the tomato tin) and then stir it. Put it on a low heat for a few hours, stirring occasionally.

Eat!!

Hope you enjoy it:)

We just polished off the last of our pot tonight. Chucked some grated cheddar over it and it rocked.

Plus, with garlic, the vampires will stay away.

Doesn't do a damn thing to keep the zombies away, though.

Elf porn. Ha!

Pie floaters?! Sounds like toilet humour...

Eating food in the park is always a good way to pass the time :)
