My colleague just brought me a can of silkworm pupae that she bought from the Korean market down the street. WTF?!

I am humbled and honored that I inspire people to such heights. But DAMN, those things look gross.

mmm, my favourite. no wait, i already saved that spot for semi-digested tapeworm proglottids that have sat around in saline for a few weeks. even i had evacuate the lab after that one. now i know the true meaning of the word 'ROTTEN'.

but i'm sure this comes close. anything that has to be opened under water is probably not good for you.

Growing up in South-Central Wisconsin, I know of people who ate lutefisk. But this is also much like the description I read about the forbearer to sushi.
