Bah. Ten days on the West Coast have left my complexion in a tizzy. I had to switch up face soaps to something ultra ultra mild because my skin got so dry and irritated (it helped, a lot), but now I'm in payback time. My skin is simultaneously oily, flaky, on the verge of a full-scale break-out (but mercifully that hasn't happened yet), and I've got a zit on my chin. OK, it's a small one, but as it emerged yesterday at work, I swear I could hear it laughing at me. Fucker.

If I had more of a sense of humor about these things, I'd change my avatar to Pizza the Hut. Instead, I give you ASS.

Your post explained so much to me (about me).

I had even commented on the general dryness while I was there - most of us had static hair at one point or another - but I totally didn't connect it to my skin. I was trying to work out what cleansing products I had changed.

ooooh yes. Honestly, I think it's the water. I don't know what about the water is different, but it is. I took all of my toiletries with me, and what is fine in NYC completely dried/irritated my skin in CA. Ugh. The static didn't really happen until I got home, and I accidentally shocked Monty on the nose. Sorry, man.
