All Glory to the Garlic Miasma

It was Garlic-a-Go-Go last night chez X.

I made tomato confit (that's just a fancy way of saying I took fresh tomato slices and crushed cloves of garlic, shook them around in a pan with some sea salt and olive oil, and then baked them at 250F for 1.5 hours. The tomatoes concentrate really well, and the garlic caramelizes and becomes really soft.) Then I made orecchiette and dressed it with an olive oil, garlic, caper, crushed red pepper, anchovy sauce.

Random vampires -- and my coworkers -- are warned to keep at least 15 feet away. Heh.

Hm. True. Besides, I'm sure the sex scenes would have been there anyway, just in different pairings. Buffy/Xander? Hmmmm. (:gag:)

Yum - I love garlic - I've just bought some really garlicky garlic from Patagonia in the hope that it will restart my garlic taste buds - I just don't seem to be able to taste the usual stuff anymore ;)

You had me drooling right up to the point where you mentioned anchovy sauce, at which point my tastebuds shut right the hell down. How could you?!?!? I don't eat garlic during the week as I have to lean over people to look down their microscope in classes (how close I have to lean depends on how fit they are, of course) and I'm considerate that way. Nobody else is, alas. Especially the students. :(
