Entertainment is...

...driving through New Jersey with a slightly inebriated spouse who is madly air-drumming along to Drive Like Jehu songs.

(yes, I was -- and always will be -- designated driver. Thanks, Herman! We had driven down to drink Russian River beers, which are quite difficult to find outside of the RR brewpub itself in Santa Rosa, and a bar in the Lower Haight. Pliny the Elder and Consecration on tap! Yes, Doug had a few. No, he did not jump up on any tables and howl.)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Oh my god! Cap'n Crunch french toast!

Oh man, I forgot about that one.

Still have never tasted the glory of Cap'n Crunch French toast....

Lucky Doug. Judging by his comment, he even seems to know it. :-)

Enforced designated drivers of the world, unite!

No howling?

Shame that...

[identity profile] xraytheenforcer.livejournal.com 2011-11-21 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that was more a function that we were the only people we knew at the bar. Had there been a group of friendly ne'er-do-wells, I suspect the evening would have involved a fair bit of howling. ;-)

Howling would have made this story complete. It's a shame you don't know any friendly ne'er-do-wells...oh, wait.

(Where's that pic of Stego in the tree when I need it?)

Does he do an "Animal" impression also? :>

It's a shame that brewer hasn't expanded more [say 30%] -they could've beaten the current craftbeer swell. Now they're going to have to wait for things to die down/out.

No.

Never having learned how to drive I never can be the designated driver which I'm sure is rather annoying to my friends who do drink and wish I could do the driving for them.

Sounds like an entertaining outing!

I like that a real drummer like Doug will still break out the air drums. I thought that was only for amateurs.

There's a beer called "Pliny the Elder"? That is just awesome.
