xraytheenforcer I realized last night that I have exactly one pair of shoes that will be suitable for Maryland Deathfest. My very un-metal hiking boots. Well, at least they are not pink.
I also realized that I have no lower-body clothing that would be appropriate, either (all of my long black skirts are too nice and my one short black skirt...well, I really don't want to wear a knee-length skirt to a fucking metal show). So I'm going to be wearing my tropical-weight hiking trousers. At least they are not pink either.
Unfortunately, the hat I am bringing is pink. In the end, I don't actually give a fuck what I look like, or what people think of me. It's more just an amused realization that my life is very different than it was when I was in my 20s and went to shows fairly often.
