MDF Schedule is Out!

I hadn't noticed before today, but the running order/times for MDF is up on the website.

And, while I hate to admit that I'm such a pathetic old fart and all that, I'm STOKED that most of the bands I want to see should be onstage before 10pm. The exception to that is Portal, which goes on at the ungodly hour of 12:30a. I probably won't make it that long, no matter how much I like that band. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be missing Tombs and Naxzul, as I don't expect I'll be getting to Baltimore before about 6pm on Friday.

The good news is that Portal are actually touring the US in late May with Krallice, and they have a NYC date scheduled, so you might get to see them without the distractions of a full festival schedule! Personally, I don't think I could appreciate them in a festival context, because festivals really do not allow you the space to sit in a corner convulsing and ripping your eyes out in horror ;)

Oh, and I am super jealous of all you guys going to MDF!)

Which bands do you want to catch besides the ones mentioned? According to the schedule, it looks like Sunday afternoon/night is going to be the most overloaded with excellence =D

May I suggest Holy Frijoles in Hampden if you like Mexican food? While Hampden has become sort of hipster central, there's a classic old school Baltimore vibe to the neighborhood that you might like, and they have great food and solid margaritas. Since MDF is at Sonar I assume you're staying downtown? I can pick you guys up if needed. There are of course options by the harbor too if you prefer, but I thought you might like to go somewhere less touristy.

Can also see who else is available that weekend -- I know Raidne isn't -- and recommend bars and restaurants around town. Do you have my cell number, AIM screen name, all that?
