So, it turns out that I knew the name Neill Blomkamp for a reason: I interviewed him 5 years ago after he did 4 pretty kick-ass illustrations for our Future of Flight special issue. Four illos, I might add, that caused arguments in the hallways as to whether they were CGI or actual photos. We worked with him again the following year and then the effects house he worked for (called The Embassy) got too expensive for us.

Anyway, for all of you who've seen District 9, Neill wrote and directed it.
