Why is it, when I declare fiscal responsibility month, exactly the time when I want to hemorrhage lucre like it's already out of style?

I am >thisclose< to getting emusic booster packs so I can amass the Carcass back catalog. I've just dropped ducats at Amazon mp3 for Blue Oyster Cult (for the record, I bought Secret Treaties), and tomorrow I must replenish my saffron supply.

*grumble*

I wouldn't bother with Reek of Putrefaction, unless you particularly like (really) badly produced grindcore. It was a classic in its time, but not a lot of fun to listen to these days.

Yeah, that was last on the hierarchy. Heartwork is first because, as much as I love extreme, I like melody (such that it is) more.

Has the NY Times declared it the hot new trend? I swear, I'm doing the same -- two transatlantic flights within a month, but can I just say 'look, no, don't buy that book/music/game right before payday'? Hell no.

I think we should buy matching jewels, just to commemorate the trend. ;-)

I feel dirty like a traitor for having managed to restrain myself at the Sign of the Unicorn. I may have to rectify this situation. :p

I believe my purchase made up for it. Goddamn, that was one expensive necklace I bought. But so fucking worth it.

When I found out she took payments in installments, I was lost. So convenient, and so very dangerous.

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. STOP THE PRESSES.

She takes installments?!? Oh, this is very bad.

She has a couple of necklaces I like, but they are $$$ because of the gold and opals.

Poor Fen will have to keep me away from her table if she's back at the next Boskone.

she does. she will also be at Boskone (I asked), but will not be at WFC (Canadian customs are a pain in the ass).

we are both doomed, because I want that raven necklace.

On a related subject, I realized that I need to add some extra money to our mythical-get-to-Australia-for-Worldcon-2010 budget. Why, you might ask?

Because I can't go all that way and not buy an opal or two!

Because the Powers That Be like to toy with us by offering these temptations.

Here's a way to save money: I'm going to send you a DVD full of MP3s. Hold off buying stuff for a while.

i do hope you at least hunt for music on mp3sugar first? i've been quite enjoying the option of getting 2 and 3 dollar albums, makes me willing to buy music again even on my budget.

I mostly stick with emusic. more than enough bands to keep me happy. but yes, cheap electronic music is really the only reason I've started buying records again.

Would you please stop giving my wife ideas? She is exploring stores back in Ireland now, for pity's sake.

Gah.
