I am deeply amused

by the fact that, not 24 hours after I bought that porkstravaganza cookbook, my stomach decided to stage a violent coup against the hegemony of the rest of my body. Yesterday and last night were heinous, and the less said about it, the better. I  instigated a counter-insurgency by  eating ice chips, after which I graduated to ginger ale and some butternut squash soup.

And now? Now I am braising some pork belly. (Props to Doug who did all the veggie chopping. I don't even have enough energy for that.)
