First hot day of the year and I'm reminded yet again how much I hate East Coast summers. Grody.

Now that's the spirit! No, I am wearing cotton. If I were enterprising, I might find some linen, but I think I got rid of all of that during the last closet purge.

Come to Seattle, where it is still November!

I would kill myself in Seattle, for reasons only partially concerned with the weather and lack of sunshine. I can't do West Coast passive-aggressive anymore -- Germany has made me a raging aggressive lunatic.

hahaha we've been swilling Hop Angel IPA, but I think I'm going to bust into our bottle of bitter lemon today. I was surprised to be able to find bottles of it -- I thought that was a Eurocommie-only thing.

That, or make a pitcher of Tom Collins.

Buy a parasol and some crinoline. Simper and keep smiling. It's working for me!

Pretty cracking weather in Scotland here. Not so hot, but nice and mild.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how unhelpful was that?

ETA: so, to answer the question, the rant was a 1.

As long as you stay in the water, the lake is lovely. The minute you step out of the water on days like this, the sun starts to cook you like a lobster. The beach itself is like a brick oven.

*roasts*

The temperature on Friday - 63 farenheit.

I do so love temperature swings.
