A Pox on Pox

Bah. Ten days on the West Coast have left my complexion in a tizzy. I had to switch up face soaps to something ultra ultra mild because my skin got so dry and irritated (it helped, a lot), but now I'm in payback time. My skin is simultaneously oily, flaky, on the verge of a full-scale break-out (but mercifully that hasn't happened yet), and I've got a zit on my chin. OK, it's a small one, but as it emerged yesterday at work, I swear I could hear it laughing at me. Fucker.

If I had more of a sense of humor about these things, I'd change my avatar to Pizza the Hut. Instead, I give you ASS.

My skin suffered (dried out) over the holidays, think it was prolly just central heating and lack of air/poor circulation. I'm alternating exfoliation (read: scrub face with dry, crunchy towel) and OTT moisturisation.

But I must say that I love, love, love Dermalogica's 'barrier repair' thingy. It's anhydrous and you put it on before your moisturiser. It doesn't sting even on the most delicate skin: it soooooothes. Hours later you can still feel its presence, even in the places that would usually be dry again by then. It's probably all lipid and silicone, who cares? :)

If it works, don't question it. Unless it's been made with elf foreskin. Because that would be gross.
